This Chocolate Walnut Fudge has a buttery smooth texture, dark and rich chocolate flavor, and plenty of walnuts and a little salt to balance the sweetness!

Do you love fudge? I have to admit, I wasn't really a huge fan... until I made this fudge! It is buttery and soft with a slight chew, has a beautiful, deep chocolate flavor, and enough walnuts to contrast the sweetness. Adding a hint of salt is a must!

โญ๏ธ Why You Need to Make This Recipe
- Texture: The creamy and smooth texture of the fudge contrasts with the crunchy walnuts perfectly!
- Flavor: Deep chocolate flavor and nuts are a match made in heaven.
- Method: It really can't get any easier than this recipe! All you need is a bowl, a microwave, and something to mix.
๐ง Ingredients
Here are the ingredients needed to make this easy walnut chocolate fudge.

Ingredient Notes
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: Do not confuse with evaporated milk, which is very different! Sweetened condensed milk is sweet, thick, and syrupy.
- Semisweet Chocolate: Nothing fancy, I use good old Hershey's semisweet chocolate chips for this fudge.
- Butter: I use salted butter, but see the instructions in the recipe card below for how to substitute unsalted butter.
- Cocoa Powder: It is very important to sift the cocoa powder before adding it to the recipe to prevent clumps of cocoa. I recommend using Dutch-processed cocoa powder for the best dark, smooth chocolate flavor.
- Vanilla: Because a splash of vanilla makes everything better!
- Salt: Just a little sea salt makes the flavors pop!
- Walnuts: Chopped. Toasted if you'd like. Or pecans, peanuts, or almonds; whatever you fancy!
See the recipe card for the full list of ingredients with measurements.
๐ Instructions

Step 1: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter.

Step 2: Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each increment until the chocolate chips are just melted.

Step 3: Sift the cocoa powder into the bowl.

Step 4: Add the vanilla and salt alongside the sifted cocoa powder and fold until fully incorporated and smooth.

Step 5: Fold in the chopped walnuts until fully incorporated.

Step 6: Smooth the fudge into a baking pan that has been lined with wax paper, parchment paper, or greased with butter.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the fudge to set. Remove the fudge from the pan and slice using a sharp knife into 48 pieces.
๐ก Top Tip
You could make this recipe on the stovetop instead of in the microwave! Slowly heat the sweetened condensed milk and butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-low heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is very hot. Remove from the heat and immediately add the chocolate chips. Stir until all the chocolate chips are melted before adding the sifted cocoa, vanilla, salt, and nuts.
