These Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies are fudgy, soft, and super chocolatey with beautiful swirls of salty peanut butter throughout!

I think most people can agree that brownies are absolutely delicious! They are soft and chewy like a cookie, yet shaped and baked like a cake. They are buttery and full of tasty chocolate flavor. And the best part; they are super quick and easy to make!
There are so many different flavor variations of brownies. I have a couple of recipes myself including rich Cookies & Cream Brownies with an Oreo cream topping and Mint Cream Cheese Brownies which combine brownies and cheesecake for an extra wonderful dessert.

- Texture - The soft and fudge-like brownie texture is wonderful with a swirl of creamy peanut butter.

🧈 Ingredients
Here are the ingredients needed to make these peanut butter chocolate brownies.

Ingredient Notes
- Butter - This recipe calls for salted butter but you could easily use unsalted butter instead with an additional ¼ teaspoon of salt added to the recipe.
- Cocoa Powder - I always use Dutch-processed cocoa powder for a smooth yet deep chocolate flavor. I buy this one at Costco!
- Peanut Butter - This recipe has only been tested with creamy-style peanut butter. I am not sure how it would turn out with natural-style peanut butter.
See the recipe card for the full list of ingredients with measurements.
📃 Instructions

Step 1: Whisk together the melted butter and white sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla extract.

Step 2: Whisk for 1 minute or until smooth and light in color.

Step 3: Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Step 4: Whisk the batter until smooth.

Step 5: Stir together the peanut butter and powdered sugar in a small bowl.

Step 6: Pour most of the brownie batter into a prepared baking pan, reserving about ½ cup of batter. Spread the peanut butter mixture on top of the batter. Finish by plopping spoonfuls of the reserved brownie batter over top and swirling a butter knife gently through to create pretty swirls.
Bake in a preheated oven for 25-35 minutes or until no longer jiggly in the middle.

These are incredible! I hadn't made brownies in a very long time, and these were absolutely easy and amazing. 👌 They chocolate flavour is the perfect intensity, and of course, how could anybody go wrong with peanut butter?? I also love my brownies soft and moist, and these fit the bill perfectly. Mmm. I'm going to have to run and have another one.... 😉
Naomi
That's fantastic, Taryn! These brownies are definitely both chocolatey and moist!

This recipe is easy to follow, and the brownies come together quickly. My sugar didn't seem completely melted after five 30-sec cycles through the microwave, but that's probably because my microwave is super old and not as high-powered as some. In any case, I was making these for a late-night treat so wasn't too concerned with a perfectly glossy top. 😉 They taste amazing! Peanut butter and chocolate is such a classic combination, and the swirls in these turn out so beautiful.
