When I was a small child, the grocery store that we shopped at had these super yummy pepperoni sticks wrapped in cheesy dough in the bakery that I absolutely LOVED! I mean, what's not to love about greasy pepperoni wrapped in bread?
This is a homemade version of those delicious pepperoni rolls made with biscuit dough! They are so good served warm with the flavorful honey dijon sauce. - Salted Butter - Add ¼ teaspoon of salt to the recipe if using unsalted butter.
- Shredded Cheese - I like to use a smoked cheddar cheese for this recipe but you could use sharp cheddar or pepper jack instead.
- Pepperoni - Any kind of savory pepperoni works; pork, beef, or turkey pepperoni. You will need 18 pieces, each around 2-3 inches long.
- Sauce - We will combine mayonnaise, dijon mustard, honey, and smoked paprika to make an easy and flavorful dijon honey mustard sauce to serve with the pepperoni rolls.

📃 Instructions
Step 1: Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cream of tartar. Add the cold cubed butter.
Step 2: Work the butter into the butter using a pastry cutter until the pieces of butter are the size of peas.
Step 3: Stir the shredded cheese into the flour/butter mixture.
Step 4: Whisk together the milk and egg separately.
Step 5: Turn the mixture onto a clean countertop and gently knead, press, and fold the mixture over on itself until a dough forms.
Step 6: Separate into 18 equal pieces by cutting the dough into quarters and then into quarters again. Wrap each piece of pepperoni in a piece of biscuit dough.
Step 7: Arrange on a prepared baking pan and bake in a preheated oven for 8-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
Step 8: Whisk together the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, honey, and smoked paprika until smooth. Serve with the pepperoni biscuits while they are still warm.

- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
- ⅓ cup cold salted butter, cubed *
- 1 cup shredded smoked cheddar *
- 1 egg
- ½ cup whole milk
- 6 large pepperoni sticks each cut into 3 pieces
Honey Mustard Sauce Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- ⅛ teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
Pepperoni Biscuit Rolls
- Preheat the oven to 450℉. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and sugar. Cut in the cubed butter with a pastry cutter until butter pieces are the size of peas. Stir in the shredded cheese.
- Whisk together the egg and milk and stir it into the flour/butter/cheese mixture until a loose dough forms. Turn onto a lightly floured counter and knead just until the dough comes together. Do not overwork.
- Cut the dough into 18 even pieces. Wrap a strip of dough around each piece of pepperoni, pinching to close the seam. Place seam down on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 8-12 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown. Serve warm with honey mustard sauce. Enjoy!
